THE SPACE WITHIN
Abrazo (Embrace)
The Space Within Collection
Ceramic and Underglased Colours
In Abrazo, I want to represent through clay the energy that travels from two embracing people. The clay travels between them holding and transporting love, we need only twenty seconds of a hug to liberate dopamine and start resetting our nervous system, something so elemental for a human and wonderful at the same time.
My recent sculptures are a testament to my artistic journey and creative exploration. This series of layered and folded clay-like beings encapsulates the essence of my practice, reflecting the profound connection between the structures we create and the layers that constitute our very existence. Much like the intricate layers of tissue and water that form our physical bodies, these sculptures symbolize the layers of experiences that shape our consciousness—successes, failures, happiness, and pain—all interwoven to provide the foundational support that defines us.
Suspiro (Sigh)
The Space Within Collection
Ceramic and Underglased Colours
Sigh was the first ceramic that I created for this collection. Looking back it was the time that I started my journey with Mindfulness and Positive Psychology studies and suddenly I was creating this series that represents emotions. Sigh is a melancholic feeling in the centre of our chest that only breath helps to release; is usually related to lost causes, or better than that, it's the breath that comes before we find the solution to our conflict.

Ilusion (Hope)
The Space Within Collection
Ceramic and Underglased Colours
Hope has carrots on its dress, and is colourful. Standing delicately poised, it beckons viewers to ponder the transformative power of hope in the face of adversity. With each curve and crevice, it tells a story of strength, renewal, and the unwavering belief in brighter tomorrows.
